Job Overview

Delivering scheduled items and assisting with the collection and delivery of returns is a key aspect of this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to transport legislation and guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-start checks on the vehicle and equipment before use
  • Report any faults or issues to their manager immediately
  • Complete accurate daily run sheets and obtain signed delivery notes
  • Drive and work in a safe manner at all times, prioritizing road safety guidelines
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and requirements, including COR standards
  • Conduct daily load audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain a tidy presentation of the vehicle and equipment at all times
  • Ensure all required documentation is correctly compiled and up-to-date, in accordance with state regulations
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of NSW and QLD Road Rules, as well as transport legislation and guidelines
  • Assist customers with placement requests and resolve any queries or disputes promptly
  • Communicate any customer queries or disputes to the Branch Manager
Requirements
  • A valid full clean driver's license
  • An HR/MC license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • A Construction Industry White Card
  • Experience with vehicle unloading cranes
  • A Forklift license is highly desirable
  • A VLC license is highly desirable
