Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety professional to contribute to the development and implementation of effective WHS systems.

About the Role

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving WHS systems across various departments. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop and enhance health and safety processes and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be reporting directly to the Group HR Manager. Key responsibilities include:

- Designing and implementing a comprehensive WHS strategy across the organization, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Developing and managing a WHS Management System, including processes, procedures, and forms, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing proactive strategies to mitigate risks and injuries.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive WHS outcomes through collaborative efforts.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of WHS systems and processes to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Collaborating with team members to identify and implement strategies to reduce claims potentials and improve workplace safety.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety
- Return To Work Certificate
- Level 2 First Aid
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in a similar role within the retail industry
