Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia beBeeEmergency Full time $98,765 - $123,456
Job Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled emergency management professional to join our team. This role will see you design and deliver efficient services that enhance accessibility, sustainability, and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.

  • You will work as part of the Customer Protection and Network Resilience team to plan and prepare for emergencies across a range of hazards (including bushfire) by developing clear, practical operational and location-specific plans that enable swift, safe action.
  • In this role, you'll lead planning and preparedness activities, including exercises that ensure the division is ready, and provide timely advice to support operational response when incidents occur.
About You

You're an emergency management planner who turns risk into practical plans and exercises. You communicate complex information simply, build trusted relationships, and can influence and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.

You have a strong understanding of emergency management arrangements in NSW (how local, regional, and state layers work together). You also bring an understanding of BFMCs and how Transport contributes to this.

You have knowledge of the road and transport network across regional NSW and how incidents impact customers and services.

Benefits

We offer a wide range of employee benefits, including flexible and hybrid work options. This role is hybrid-friendly, meaning you can mix in-person days at your team's home base location with remote days.
