Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will provide technical support to the Mining Manager in developing and executing strategic planning processes.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure effective creation and execution of long-term operational plans.

  • Monitor risk areas and implement preventative measures.
  • Develop corrective action plans to mitigate adverse trends.
  • Establish contingency plans for high-risk scenarios.
  • Pursue opportunities for operational performance improvement and risk reduction.
  • Communicate proposals effectively and implement changes.
  • Support the mining team as needed.
  • Work closely with the environmental department to ensure timely project approvals.
About You:
  • At least 10 years of experience in Mining Engineering.
  • Proven track record of leading a team.
  • Detailed understanding of underground planning and scheduling.
  • Practical financial skills, including budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for employment and safety.
  • Proficiency in Deswik mine planning software.
  • Desirable: Possession of a Mine Managers Certificate.
