Job Description

The Mine Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of mining activities.

This role is key in supporting the Supervisor by managing real-time fleet performance and helping adopt new system features and processes.

The Mine Operations Specialist works closely with the Supervisor and other teams to improve control room operations, refine processes, and enhance communication between control, operations, and support teams.

This role helps ensure that control room practices align with operational excellence, safety, and innovation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control fleet operations in real-time to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity. Address issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist in transitioning from existing systems to new technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Implement and adhere to new processes, workflows, and standards that align with industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance control room efficiency, focusing on transitioning from active control intervention to a proactive approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

A degree in a relevant field and/or relevant experience in mining or a related industry would be highly regarded.
