Job description:

We are seeking a qualified Excavator Operator to join our Production Mining Team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years mining experience as a production excavator operator.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating machinery efficiently and safely
  • Complying with policies and procedures
  • Responding to instructions from the Mining Supervisor

The ideal candidate will have experience operating Hitachi EX3600 and loading dump trucks in a mining production environment. Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration is also essential.

You will also be required to ensure floor levels are maintained, minimise dilution, and achieve design parameters within acceptable tolerances.

Required skills and qualifications:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:

  • Minimum 5 years mining experience as a production excavator operator
  • Equivalent to or specific experience operating Hitachi EX3600
  • Experience loading dump trucks in a mining production environment

Additional requirements include sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration, as well as skills to mine out benches and cutting batters.
