The position of Technical Project Leader at Allocate is a pivotal role within the Professional Services division, primarily engaging with clients in the Defence sector. Candidates must possess and maintain a NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance to be eligible for this role.

As a key figure in the Allocate team, you will oversee technical teams in the planning, development, and testing of solutions aimed at enhancing, optimizing, and automating current business and technical processes. A confident, motivated individual who can effectively prioritize tasks for both yourself and your team is essential. You will be adept at communicating across all levels within Allocate, as well as with clients and the broader Allocate community.

Demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing team objectives and priorities is crucial. This role requires comfort in engaging with various stakeholders, including technical colleagues, non-technical clients, and end users.

The ability to guide and direct the team with a strong emphasis on collective results and organizational skills will be key to your success in this position. A commitment to continuous improvement across all facets of the role will enable you to excel.

You will manage a small team of Technical and/or Product Consultants and contribute to the leadership group at Allocate.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sustainment Delivery Manager, your responsibilities will include:

· Leading and taking ownership of support tickets raised through the support portal.

· Specifying, planning, developing, and testing solutions or specialized functions with a focus on enhancing, optimizing, or automating existing business and technical processes.

· Managing client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, solution requirements, and potential risks.

· Planning, managing, and reviewing work sustainment sprints.

· Line management of a team, including performance management, engagement, career development, and coaching.

· Serving as a MAPS and OneView expert, possessing deep technical knowledge of configuration layers and data integration points to effectively engage with clients and delegate tasks efficiently.

· Overseeing skills and knowledge within the team and identifying areas for upskilling and cross-skilling.

· Preparing for contingencies and future priority client events.

· Acting as an escalation point for customer communications.

· Working on assigned tickets or priority requests as needed.

Essential Skills:

· Proficiency in MAPS/OneView Product Configuration

· Understanding of Relational Database Fundamentals

· SQL skills for data searching and manipulation

· Familiarity with Defence structures and processes

· Knowledge of Change Management principles

· Understanding of ticketing system processes and their SLAs

· Ability to mentor and guide other technical staff

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational and time-management abilities

· Decision-making and task delegation skills

Highly Desirable Skills:

· XML knowledge

· Experience with ETL processes

· Familiarity with ITIL processes

· UI design skills

· HTML5 knowledge

· T-SQL scripting experience

· JavaScript proficiency
