About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Security Specialist to join our team at the Australian Secret Intelligence Service. As a Technical Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Policy and Decision-Making: Support the Manager of Technical Security in developing and implementing strategic policies and procedures to enhance our technical security culture.
  2. Technical Security Countermeasures: Conduct inspections and provide advice on the implementation of technical security countermeasures to ensure compliance with security policies and guidelines.
  3. Security Compliance: Contribute to the development and implementation of security compliance programs, including risk management and mitigation.
  4. Reporting and Communication: Manage and contribute to reporting for key stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders, and assist in formal reporting as required.
  5. Autonomy and Expertise: Exercise autonomy and leverage individual and team subject matter expertise to provide accurate and specialized advice and to deliver on allocated tasks and projects.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Experience in the Australian National Security Community, with a strong understanding of RF circuits and systems.
  2. Qualifications: Certificate 3 or 4 in electronics or a degree in Electronics or RF communications, or Defence electronic or technical training.
  3. Skills: High-level knowledge and understanding of current Australian Government security arrangements, including the Australian Protective Security Policy Framework, and current knowledge of physical and technical security policies and practices.
Eligibility

Candidates must be Australian citizens and be eligible for the highest-level security clearance.
