The position of Technical Solutions Manager at Allocate is a pivotal role within the Professional Services division, primarily focusing on our clients in the Defence sector. Candidates must possess and maintain a NV1 or NV2 Security Clearance.

As a leader within Allocate, you will oversee technical teams to strategize, develop, and evaluate solutions aimed at enhancing, optimizing, and automating current business and technical processes. Confidence, motivation, and the ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and your team are essential.

You will demonstrate leadership capabilities in managing team objectives and priorities. This role is client-facing, requiring comfort in engaging with various stakeholders, including technical peers, non-technical clients, and end users.

Success in this position will stem from your ability to guide the team with a strong emphasis on collective results and organizational skills. A commitment to continuous improvement across all areas will enable you to excel.

You will manage a small team of Technical and/or Product Consultants and contribute to the leadership group at Allocate.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sustainment Delivery Manager, your responsibilities will include:

· Leading and taking ownership of support tickets raised through the Support portal.

· Specifying, planning, developing, and testing solutions or specialized functions to enhance, optimize, or automate existing business and technical processes.

· Managing customer expectations regarding timelines, deliverables, solution requirements, and potential risks.

· Planning, managing, and reviewing work sustainment sprints.

· Line management of a team, including performance management, engagement, career development, and coaching.

· Acting as a MAPS and OneView expert, possessing deep technical knowledge of configuration layers and data integration points to effectively engage with customers and delegate tasks efficiently.

· Overseeing skills and knowledge within the team, identifying areas for upskilling and cross-skilling.

· Planning for contingencies and prioritizing customer events.

· Serving as an escalation point for customer communications.

· Working on assigned tickets or priority requests as needed.

Essential Skills:

· Proficiency in MAPS/OneView Product Configuration

· Understanding of Relational Database Fundamentals

· SQL expertise (data searching/manipulation)

· Familiarity with Defence structures and processes

· Knowledge of Change Management principles

· Experience with Ticketing System processes and their SLAs

· Ability to mentor and guide other technical staff

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities (prioritization)

· Decision-making and task delegation skills
