We are seeking a seasoned Assistant Manager to lead our Foot Locker store in Melbourne Central. This role involves coaching and motivating team members to deliver exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maximizing profit goals.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual who can learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing omni-channel retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, training, employee management, visual merchandising, and asset protection.

In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume all managerial duties. Your performance will be measured by your ability to drive sales and maximize profit goals for a specific store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about all products offered and working collaboratively with colleagues to provide exceptional sales service
  • Deliver sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales setting
  • Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
  • Motivated to achieve great results due to enthusiasm from interacting with customers and athletic products
  • Resourceful and versatile in responding to changing demands and opportunities
  • Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
  • Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis, decision making, and financial analysis
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
  • Flexible availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays
