About the Role

The Senior Executive Officer to the Vice Chancellor is a critical role that underpins the Vice Chancellor's impact as a leader and their day-to-day operational success. This position demands someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional organisational skills, and can navigate dynamic situations with ease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Vice Chancellor's priorities, as articulated in the University's strategic plan.
  • Lead a team of executive services professionals to deliver outstanding support to the senior executive team.
  • Manage and coordinate all strategic and operational business arising on behalf of the Vice Chancellor.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Vice Chancellor and external parties.
Requirements
  • Experience working within an executive and/or senior leadership office with a proven track record of contributing to their success as a leader.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to multitask with great effect and impact.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to remain calm under pressure or when challenged.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness at operating within tight timeframes to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and the application of all forms of relevant technology to improve productivity.
What We Offer

This is a full-time position at a HEP 9 classification with a salary range of $124,066 - $129,080 per annum classification plus 17% employer superannuation contributions, working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing period.

Flexible work arrangements will be considered and negotiated to ensure the quality of executive services to the Vice Chancellor is not compromised.
