About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Head of Digital Commerce to join our team at The Search Firm. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust digital commerce strategic roadmap across our multiple brands.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on the foundations of our existing digital presence and take our business to the next level. You will be working closely with our CEO and other senior leaders to drive growth and innovation in the digital space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital commerce strategy to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition across all channels.
  • Lead the development and implementation of e-commerce, digital marketing, and social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Manage and grow our affiliate networks and build partnerships to increase site traffic and revenue.
  • Develop and execute list growth and optimization strategies, including personalization, AI recommendations, and email address acquisition strategies.
  • Build and manage the EDM strategy to increase conversions and develop brand awareness.
  • Develop and drive growth opportunities through social media and content, utilizing the channel to capture and engage the customer.
  • Create digital content that enhances the tone and voice of each individual brand.
  • Manage and grow our customer and product review strategy.
  • Be responsible for the optimization of our campaigns to improve performance metrics, including click-through rates, conversion, bounce rates, and cost per acquisition.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the e-commerce and web development teams.
  • Source new third-party vendors, conduct RFP processes, contract negotiations, and onboarding and implementation of new vendors.
  • Identify ways to optimize the multiple digital funnels and improve our key performance metrics.
  • Actively use data and insights to inform optimization approaches, our spend allocation, and improve our ROI across paid channels.
  • Manage existing and new SEM and SEO teams, agencies, and contractors.
  • Introduce and manage tools for increasing on-site engagement.
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to senior leaders across the organization.
  • Conduct analysis of digital experience, market trends, and third-party partnerships supporting the development of new and existing digital experiences.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, as well as new digital technology, approaches, resources, and opportunities.
  • P&L responsibility for the budget.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years in an e-commerce/digital marketing role in a D2C or multi-channel consumer goods/retail environment.
  • Strong, proven experience in developing successful e-commerce growth strategies as well as managing the execution.
  • A strong, commercial acumen, the ability to plan and prioritize will be key.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, managing people and external agencies.
  • Expertise in executing performance marketing strategies and managing associated budgets.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and make decisions that improve the performance of campaigns that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Experience using AI and machine learning tools for marketing automation, predictive analytics, and personalization is strongly preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of social media and digital ads platforms including Google, Meta, TikTok, and various other e-commerce/digital related platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics (GA4), and/or any other equivalent analytics software.
  • This individual will be a strong communicator, using data to back strategies, influence, and think proactively.
