Technical Community Developer

Westpac Group is seeking a highly skilled Technical Community Developer to join our vibrant technology community. In this role, you will be responsible for developing great customer experiences and building a digital platform where developers can focus on quality, innovation, and customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing APIs and microservices with Java, as well as experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS. A passion for agile practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair-Programming, and Continuous Delivery and Deployment is also essential.
In return for your skills and expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, based on market rates for a Senior Full Stack Software Developer in Sydney. You will also have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment, with access to personalized upskilling, mentoring, and training opportunities.
Main Accountabilities:
- Develop high-quality software that meets customer needs
- Improve build processes, tooling, and libraries to delight a large community of developers
- Foster excellent team dynamics to keep the team encouraged and motivated
- Facilitate communication within and across teams, and ensure stakeholders are kept updated
- Identify and facilitate the removal of impediments
- Work closely with others to build a vibrant technical community
