We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Recovery Support Specialist. As a Peer Support Worker with Flourish Australia, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Connect with and support individuals in their mental health recovery journey, building strong relationships based on trust and shared experience.
- Guide and support each person in their recovery, focusing on their strengths, abilities, and possibilities.
- Model hope and recovery, demonstrating a positive and empowering approach to mental health.
- Ensure that individual support is provided to meet the unique needs and goals of each person, with a focus on strengths-based and person-centered practice.
- Encourage shared learning experiences and support skill development through self-directed learning, information, and education.
- Certificate IV or above in a relevant field, or a minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working in the human services field.
- A strong commitment to recovery-based practice and a personal lived experience of mental health recovery.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues and the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and data information management systems.
- A current Australian Driver's Licence.
- A competitive hourly rate, equivalent to $37.35-$40.05/hour, plus super and tax-free salary packaging.
