Job Title: Infectious Diseases Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Consultant in Infectious Diseases to provide expert clinical leadership and contribute to cutting-edge infectious disease care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist level care in Infectious Diseases to patients in Southern Adelaide Local Health Network and regional hospitals.
  • Coordinate follow-up care for inpatients, outpatients, and Hospital in the Home patients.
  • Participate in National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQ) standards, including Infection Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship activities.
  • Supervise Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students in clinical and research settings.
  • Contribute to programs promoting personal growth and development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Specialist qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
  • High standard of clinical practice in Infectious Diseases.
  • Recent and extensive clinical experience in Infectious Diseases relevant to the profile of diseases managed in South Australia.
  • Teaching experience in clinical skills, microbiology, and infectious disease.
