About the Role

The APS 6 Training Manager will be responsible for guiding and inspiring the next generation of Defence Explosive Ordnance professionals. This role involves:

  • Training System Reporting: Providing statistical analysis and reporting against key expected capability outcomes and overall training system health to the CO, Executive staff, and DEOTS Chain of Command.
  • Training Compliance and Governance: Ensuring all training is compliant with Defence training governance requirements, including staff instructional qualifications and management of unit level training related policies.
  • Training Management: Overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and quality assurance of all training programs, including drafting and development of arrangements with other Defence agencies in support of DEOTS training delivery.
  • Leading and Mentoring: Leading and mentoring the Training Support Cell comprising an APS 5 Training Governance Coordination Officer and an APS 4 Course Administration Officer.
