Job Overview:

The Litigation Paralegal serves as a crucial support role for in-house and external litigation counsel on various matters, encompassing general litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and related cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys with management of discovery, including interviews, document collection, review, and coordination with outside counsel and e-discovery teams.
  • Manage legal hold process utilizing software tools.
  • Oversee subpoena response and document production, including collection, review, redaction, and bates-stamping.
  • Maintain matter management software to organize case files, track deadlines, update dockets, and manage the litigation calendar.
  • Produce and maintain reporting metrics on litigation and pre-litigation matters.
  • Prepare and file proof of claims as creditor in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Assist in implementing and optimizing internal processes, documents, and forms to standardize practices and promote efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Litigation Counsel and outside counsel in preparation for arbitrations, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Support attorneys in maintaining immigration files, including documentation collection for Public Access Files and other immigration support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in-house or law firm support of corporate clients.
  • Experience with document review and production.
  • Basic understanding of rules concerning responding to discovery requests generated as part of litigations (subpoenas and document demands).
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
