Project Management

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to work in conjunction with our project team to drive and coordinate various aspects of heavy civil construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage work schedules, coordinate design changes, and plan revisions with stakeholders.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the project scope, regularly consulting with field operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Review project requirements daily, make adjustments to the project schedule, analyze specifications, and track contract pay items.
  • Update the project schedule based on input from Field Operations, adhering to contract specifications.
  • Compile subcontractors' bids and estimates, distribute contract documents at the project site for management review.
  • Work under the guidance of the Project Management team.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety Policies, prioritizing safety above all else.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project setup and closeout procedures.
  • Process and track Submittals & RFIs (including logs).
  • Create and maintain the Project CPM Schedule with logic input from Project Management and Field Operations.
  • Support Project Operations with two-week Look Ahead schedules, particularly for FDOT Projects requiring weekly two-week CPM lookahead with resource loading.
  • Attend, maintain, and assist in maintaining minutes for Weekly Progress Meetings when required.
  • Coordinate with Survey regarding project issues or RFI requests.
  • Verify that contract drawings conform to EOR revisions, RFIs, and CSI modifications.
  • Assist the Project Manager with quarterly Look Ahead Schedules and projected resource needs.
  • Provide accurate quantities from the field for billing, cost control, projections, and cost-to-complete support. Load these quantities into Heavy Job.
  • Review Labor and Equipment reports with field personnel related to budget.
  • Assist in scheduling, tracking, and coordinating subcontractors and permanent materials deliveries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented office and field environment.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
