Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Queensland team in Townsville. The successful candidate will lead and provide technical support to our construction and engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Review, document, analyze, and plan projects with the Project Manager to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the company's quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Procurement and Purchasing: Manage the procurement and purchasing of goods and services to support project delivery.
  • Risk and Hazard Management: Perform risk and hazard assessments to prevent incidents, injuries, and damage.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, supervision, and management to all team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects successfully.
  • Engineering Advice: Provide engineering advice to relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the entire project from an engineering viewpoint, maintaining an open approach to problem-solving.
  • Project Budgeting and Scheduling: Track project budgets and schedules, making adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • A Construction White Card and current driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment.
