About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at BG&E Resources. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of work scopes across our diverse project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effective management of work programmes to safely deliver multiple projects concurrently
  • Manage and lead scope, cost, schedule, quality and resources throughout the project lifecycle to achieve client objectives
  • Programming and planning of the works, including the preparation, monitoring and updating of plans
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure they are well informed of project objectives, scope and progress
  • Maintain project tracking, report status updates and effectively escalate any major issues promptly to the leadership team
  • Analyse complex issues and develop effective strategies to deliver solutions
  • Identify risks and opportunities, enabling their visibility amongst stakeholders and ensuring relevant mitigation controls are in place
  • Facilitate and participate in project deliverables review meetings
  • Execute a working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering qualifications (civil, structural, mechanical or electrical infrastructure works)
  • 10+ years' experience in the successful delivery of projects across multiple clients and stakeholders, in the mineral resource, materials handling or energy sectors
  • Lead by example, creating a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness
  • Able to manage and oversee the full lifecycle of projects, identify risks and engage relevant mitigation processes
  • The ability to work autonomously, to organise and prioritise demands and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of project financial management, forecasting and contracts management functions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you are capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Self-motivated and decisive, adaptable to change and competing demands
