Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Queensland team in Townsville to work on various projects. The successful candidate will lead and provide technical support to the construction and engineering teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Management: Review, document, analyze, and plan projects with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards of customers and the company, maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Procurement and Purchasing: Manage procurement and purchases of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Risk and Hazard Management: Perform risks and hazards assessments to prevent incidents, injury, and damage, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, supervision, and management to all team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Engineering Advice: Provide engineering advice to relevant stakeholders as required, ensuring informed decision-making and effective project delivery.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the entire project from an engineering viewpoint, maintaining an open approach to problem-solving and ensuring successful project outcomes.
- Project Tracking and Budgeting: Track budget and schedule, making adjustments as necessary to reach project goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary engineering qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Construction White Card and Current driver's license.
- Ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.
- Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessment.
