Job Description

We are seeking an individual to play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at our 4-star hotel.

As a porter, you will be the first and last point of contact for our valued guests, setting the tone for their entire stay. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Front Office team and contribute to creating unforgettable memories for our visitors.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome all guests and visitors to the resort with a warm smile and friendly demeanor.
  • Handle guest luggage efficiently and securely, ensuring it reaches its destination safely and on time.
  • Transfer luggage between the porters' storeroom and guests' rooms, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all guest transport vehicles, adhering to strict health and hygiene standards.
  • Stay informed about daily activities, special events, and VIP arrivals within the resort, providing exceptional service and support when needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail, enabling you to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with precision and accuracy.
  • A valid open QLD manual driver's license, as well as the ability to obtain a restricted driver authority (must have held a driver's license for at least 3 years continuously).
  • 6-12 months of experience working in a porter position within a 4-5 star hotel or resort.
  • Impeccable presentation and communication skills, including exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, which may involve weekends and varied hours.
