Job Summary

As a senior highway engineer, you will work on various transportation-related design projects developing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for construction. You should have experience with the entire project design delivery process and hands-on design/engineering supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop multi-discipline transportation engineering projects, including evaluating alternatives, conducting engineering studies and design calculations, and performing preliminary and detailed design.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with design intent, project scope, and state and federal design criteria and standards.
  • Develop contract plans and prepare technical specifications and cost estimates.
  • Assist with project execution and delivery, including development of project scope and schedule.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities and coordination of engineers, designers, and technicians assigned to a specific project.
  • Perform quality control on engineering work products, including design calculations, models, drawings, reports, specifications, and estimates.
  • Assist with marketing and business development efforts.
