Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to lead our transportation-related design projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for construction.

  • The selected individual will supervise and lead engineering design tasks, including roadway geometric design, production of plans, and writing of technical reports.
  • Key responsibilities include performing process design of multi-discipline transportation engineering projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring compliance with design intent, project scope, and state and federal design criteria and standards.
  • This position involves developing contract plans, preparing technical specifications and cost estimates, assisting with project execution and delivery, and performing quality control on engineering work products.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college.
  • 10+ years of post-licensure engineering experience in transportation design is required.
  • Possess proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills are essential.
  • A strong analytical problem-solving, time management, and organizational skill set is necessary.
