This is a unique opportunity to work on a 6-month contract + extension, focusing on a government project as an Australian first initiative. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deliver culturally appropriate e-learning content and blended training programs to enhance digital and professional capabilities of First Nations peoples.
Job OverviewThe Senior Learning & Development Officer will be responsible for designing and developing e-learning content and training programs for First Nations peoples. They will identify skills required for the role against a Digital Skills Framework and develop skill competency matrices. The officer will also consult with stakeholders to define role requirements and co-design models of delivery.
Key Responsibilities- E-Learning Content Design: Design and develop e-learning content and training programs for First Nations peoples.
- Skill Identification: Identify skills required for the role against a Digital Skills Framework and develop skill competency matrices.
- Stakeholder Consultation: Consult with stakeholders to define role requirements and co-design models of delivery.
- Training Facilitation: Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to build knowledge-sharing capacity across Indigenous Knowledge Centres.
- Candidate Requirements: First Nations People are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in training development and delivery, preferably within community and local council projects.
- Qualification and Experience: Qualification in Training, Education, Human Resources, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated expertise in similar roles.
- LMS Familiarity: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning tools, and virtual training platforms.
The successful candidate will have experience in producing high-quality training materials and a demonstrated understanding of project management and learning frameworks.
