Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a full-time, permanent role. As a B1.3 Licensed Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
About the Role- Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and National Aviation Authority (NAA) Regulations.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA)
- Maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance their overall experience.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
- Work with the Quality & Safety Team to ensure aviation quality, safety, and compliance with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Assign and supervise tasks for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) allocated to the job and monitor their progress and paperwork.
- Focused on safe execution of maintenance activities, while maximizing aircraft availability and ensuring a safe workspace for all employees and visitors to maintenance and engineering facilities.
- Prior experience and qualifications on light and medium Bell, Airbus and Leonardo model Helicopters are essential.
- A current B1 or C license is mandatory.
- The candidate must hold Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications is required.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with workshop managers and other staff in a busy environment with strict deadlines.
- An understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements is vital.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to outstanding customer service is expected.
- The ability to work independently is necessary.
- Good computer literacy and experience working with aircraft maintenance programs are highly regarded.
- The candidate must meet the requirements of the Company pre-employment drug and alcohol policy.
- The candidate must have the right to live and work in Australia without restriction and must be able to obtain and maintain aviation and other government security clearances that may be required.
- The following Type Ratings are highly desirable: Bell 212/412, AW139, EC135, H145, PT6 series engines and T53 series engines.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Civil Aviation Regulations and familiarity with foreign NAA regulations are beneficial.
- Competency in the use of computer-aided design programs is well regarded.
