Job Title: Aviation Protection Officer

We are seeking dedicated professionals with excellent customer service skills to join our team as an Aviation Protection Officer. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing a safe and secure airport experience for passengers.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of air travel, working closely with a diverse team of security professionals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consistently adhere to standard security practices to ensure passengers and their belongings are thoroughly checked and cleared prior to departure.
  • Control access to sensitive areas, conduct thorough searches, and identify prohibited items.
  • Efficiently manage the flow of passengers through security screening.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and decision-making skills.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in customer service or a strong interest in working in a dynamic airport environment.
  • Willingness to commit to comprehensive training to gain a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or currently hold this certification.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening and medical assessments.
  • Capacity to obtain an ASIC (Criminal history clearance) which will be facilitated by us.
  • A QLD Security License is highly desirable.
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's license and possess a reliable vehicle.
  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotational roster.

About the Certificate II Transport Security Protection:

Aviation security is a vital industry that ensures passenger safety during air travel. To meet emerging threat levels, specific theoretical knowledge has been mandated for all Aviation Screeners.

We offer a unique opportunity to guide and support you through the Certificate II in Transport Security Protection and 40 hours paid On-the-Job Training required for all Aviation Screeners.

This nationally recognized qualification includes approximately 25 hours of online learning, 5 days of paid practical training delivered within our airport operations, and access to webinars and online support while you gain your qualification.
