Job Overview

This role is for a Senior Restructuring Associate with experience to join a leading accounting firm in Sydney. The successful candidate will play a critical advisory position on corporate restructuring engagements, working with external stakeholders and designing solutions to assist clients in navigating financial stability.

The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of corporate insolvency issues and strong communication skills.

About the Role
  • Organize a restructuring and bankruptcy portfolio with senior team assistance as needed.
  • Create creditor reports, administrator reports, liquidator statutory reports, and investigative accounting reports.
  • Assist senior team members with enterprise trading, including cash flow predictions, employee entitlements, and supplier/customer accounts.
  • Participate in sophisticated investigations, such as forensic tracing exercises and determining fund sources and use.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and coordinate projects involving corporate restructuring and insolvency.
  2. Analyze data and create detailed reports for stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with senior team members to achieve business objectives.
  4. Develop and implement solutions to complex problems.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience within an insolvency team.
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude and analytical thinking.
  • A high degree of planning and time management, handling multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Educated in a related field or professional degree obtained abroad.
