Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to oversee the effective and efficient management of our operations. This is a challenging opportunity to drive continuous improvement across all sites, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

The role involves:

  • Developing and implementing audit schedules to ensure regular internal audits of staff and contractors.
  • Performing detailed internal audits to evaluate adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying non-compliances and developing corrective action plans to address deficiencies and monitor implementation.
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators to ensure operational objectives are met.
  • Maintaining effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on compliance, quality control, and operational procedures.
  • Preparing and presenting reports on audit findings, operational performance, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and collaborating with teams to implement best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the defence sector or a large multi-site organisation.
  • Proven experience in audit management and conducting internal audits.
  • A strong understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Management, or a related field is highly desirable.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
