About this role

We are seeking a compassionate and respectful individual to join our team as a caregiver in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs. As a member of our team, you will provide culturally appropriate in-home support to our aged elders and make a difference for our community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed making, and meal preparation
  • Offer social support such as accompanying clients to their doctor appointments, shopping, and social outings
  • Perform personal care duties including showering, feeding, and toileting, and assist with oral medication
  • Assist with manual handling, driver awareness, social interactions, and ongoing training and support

Required skills and qualifications

  • A current Australian Drivers Licence and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 (2 doses)
  • Ability to live within a 15-20km radius of Newcastle for a convenient commute
