Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Contract Director to lead our Commercial Contracts & Performance team.

This is a crucial role in driving value for money and efficient services across government technology platforms.

You will provide strategic direction across the end-to-end commercial process, engaging with internal stakeholders, vendors, and industry partners to maximise opportunities for collaboration and digital product optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of contract partners to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with senior leaders
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process within GTP, ensuring compliance with NSW Government policies and maximising value for money
  • People leadership for immediate team and broader directorate, actively participating in Value & Portfolio Management leadership
  • Represent senior leaders as required, providing expert advice and recommendations to executives
  • Engage with vendors and industry partners to develop strategic partnerships and optimise digital product offerings
  • Oversee contract management, including negotiations and compliance monitoring, performance reporting, to secure optimal outcomes for the organisation
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a large multi-disciplinary team in a service delivery environment while developing and operationalising commercial processes
  • Experience in leading and representing the team as a delegate for senior leadership to promote initiatives that enhance the value of government platforms, products, and services
  • Experience in designing and implementing long-term strategies to ensure value for money and service continuity aligned with platform requirements
  • Procurement, sourcing, contract, and vendor management experience including demonstrated ability to be an SME on government digital commercial operations

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in building effective networks and mutually beneficial partnerships, as well as knowledge and certifications in SAFe. They will also have a strong understanding of expense recovery and inter-agency agreement alignment.
