Position Overview

Cognizant presents a remarkable opportunity for a skilled and cooperative Senior Data Consultant to become an integral part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse group of consultants, including strategists, solution designers, and engineers, delivering expert technology advisory services to our clients. Your engagements will typically span 8–12 weeks, where you will address intricate challenges and formulate technology strategies and roadmaps that enable our clients to innovate and enhance their service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Consultant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Architecting and deploying cloud-based data solutions utilizing platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure, while adhering to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Developing and refining data models and architectures to facilitate data analysis and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Constructing and overseeing Data Pipelines and Data Lakes, ensuring high standards of data quality and accessibility.
  • Leading data engineering projects, focusing on the design and execution of processes that support data ingestion, transformation, and utilization.
  • Consulting on Data Governance frameworks to guarantee data security, compliance, and integrity.
  • Providing expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, integrating these methodologies into data ecosystems to drive business outcomes.
  • Managing the complete data lifecycle, from creation and storage to processing and disposal, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this Senior Data Consultant position, candidates should possess:

  • A strong background in technology services, particularly in product design and data engineering.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture, with hands-on proficiency in tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and Synapse.
  • A proven history of guiding clients through advisory roles, technology selection, and solution development, with a focus on achieving impactful transformation.
  • Expertise in data architecture and modeling, capable of delivering high-performance data solutions.
  • Experience in building and managing Data Pipelines, utilizing technologies like Azure Data Factory and data build tool (DBT).
  • Knowledge of Data Governance practices within large organizations.
  • A solid understanding of ML/AI concepts and their application within data environments.
  • Experience in leveraging data for operational and strategic advantages.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate the enterprise-wide implications of data, including domain-specific knowledge such as Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
  • Adeptness in fostering executive relationships during engagements to drive successful project outcomes and identify new consulting opportunities.
