Position Overview

Cognizant is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Data Consultant to enhance our dynamic team. In this role, you will work collaboratively within a diverse group of consultants, including strategists, solution architects, and engineers, to provide expert technology advisory services to our clients. You will engage in consulting projects lasting between 8 to 12 weeks, addressing intricate challenges and developing technology strategies that enable our clients to deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-centric data architectures utilizing platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and refine data models and architectures to facilitate data analysis and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Construct and oversee Data Pipelines and Data Lakes, ensuring optimal data quality and accessibility.
  • Lead data engineering initiatives, focusing on the design and execution of processes to support data ingestion, transformation, and utilization.
  • Consult on Data Governance strategies and frameworks to guarantee data security, compliance, and integrity.
  • Provide insights into Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts, integrating these models into data ecosystems to enhance business value.
  • Manage the complete data lifecycle, from creation and storage to processing and disposal, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this Senior Data Consultant position, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in technology services with a strong focus on product design and data engineering delivery.
  • Extensive expertise in cloud architecture, with hands-on experience in tools such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and Synapse.
  • A proven history of guiding clients through advisory processes, technology selection, and solution development, with a focus on leading complex transformation projects.
  • Proficiency in data architecture and modeling, capable of creating high-performance data solutions.
  • Expertise in building and delivering Data Pipelines, with experience in technologies like Azure Data Factory and data build tool (DBT).
  • Experience in advising on Data Governance within large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of ML/AI concepts and their application within data environments.
  • Experience in Data Activation, leveraging data for both operational and strategic advantages.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate enterprise-wide data usage and domain-specific knowledge.
  • Adeptness in building executive relationships to drive successful outcomes and uncover new consulting opportunities.
