The Warehouse Operative role involves efficiently picking and dispatching plastic building products to customers while maintaining high Health & Safety standards and following established Standard Operating Procedures.
Main Responsibilities:- Pick and pack products accurately to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure continuous product care and report any equipment damage to the Team Leader.
- Maintain open communication within the team to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Achieve daily picking targets and report results to the Team Leader.
- Conduct a visual quality check before picking products and report concerns to the Shift Coordinator.
- Verify product placement and quantity before picking, flagging any stock issues to the Shift Supervisor.
- Label and date individual loads correctly for dispatch.
- Liaise with the Team Leader at shift end regarding incomplete pick requirements.
- Minimize errors in allocated duties, improving overall accuracy.
- Participate in bi-annual stock takes until completion.
- Keep the working area tidy and report hazards to the Team Leader.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and follow procedures effectively.
- Understanding of stock control and quality checks is essential.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are highly valued.
- High awareness of health & safety regulations is crucial.
