Actuarial Expert Sought

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team at QBE. As an integral part of our pricing evolution, you will be responsible for analysing and developing pricing recommendations to drive tangible benefits for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide meaningful analysis and insights in areas of product, segment, channel, and business profitability
  • Pricing impact analysis and development of price recommendations to the business
  • Work on premium adequacy, data extraction, modelling, price setting, and monitoring
  • Continual evolution of rating algorithms
  • Working closely with the business, finance, and valuations teams to deliver various requirements

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Science, Data Science, Business, Actuarial Studies, or Computer Science
  • Experience in a similar role in General Insurance preferred
  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience in SAS programming
  • Familiarity with Emblem, R, or Radar will be advantageous
  • Ability to communicate analysis and findings to a wide range of stakeholders within the business
  • Ability to work autonomously and solve problems
