**Job Description**:
As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be working flexibly from our Sydney office providing support to the broader Individual Risk Valuation team. You may undertake actuarial analysis on behalf of other actuaries in the team and make recommendations to process improvements where relevant. You will provide administrative support to large Actuarial projects, and you will be required to coordinate with other departments and work-streams to ensure appropriate support is provided to the business.

In this role you will:

- Support the valuations & reporting: statutory policy liability, monthly profit reporting, APRA reporting and production of projected cash flows for ad hoc analysis where required
- Enhance existing valuation capabilities and implement new reconciliation and valuation analysis templates
- Monitor and report business insight on product experience and identify potential trends and issues
- Review and test business assumptions
- Prepare, validate, and analyse data
- Maintain systems, processes, and documentation to ensure delivery and effectiveness of administrative processes and procedures
- Prepare reports to present results
- Identify technical problems and find resolutions or escalate problems as necessary
- Coordinate with the other relevant departments and work-streams to ensure the smooth business operation of their process flow in accordance with the established procedures and guidelines
- Provide support and drive in various strategic projects impacting the Risk business and other teams

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you will have,
- A tertiary degree in a financial discipline (preferably actuarial)
- Experience working in an actuarial role within the life insurance industry, desired
- Knowledge of spreadsheet modelling (Excel), database (Access) and SQL
- Knowledge of Prophet
- Strong analytical skills
