Senior Procurement Advisor

The Northern Territory Government is seeking a highly experienced procurement specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Agency Procurement Services, you will provide expert advice and support to client agencies on procurement planning, specification development, sourcing, and tender evaluation.

You will have a sound knowledge and understanding of procurement policy and legislation, as well as demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management. Your strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills will enable you to work collaboratively with clients to achieve effective and efficient procurement processes and outcomes.

  • Supporting client agencies to deliver procurement projects and discrete deliverables
  • Providing expert advice on procurement planning, specification development, sourcing, and tender evaluation
  • Assisting clients to ensure compliance with the NTG Procurement Framework
  • Developing high-level written skills to prepare documentation, reports, and briefs

The ideal candidate will have completed or be progressing towards completion of a Diploma of Procurement Contracting or relevant qualifications. In addition, they will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and constructively with clients.

  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with internal teams to achieve business objectives
