We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Officer to provide tenancy and property management services.
Key Responsibilities- Property Leasing: Conduct all arrangements to lease vacant properties efficiently.
- Tenancy Documentation: Ensure completion and maintenance of tenancy documents according to organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Tenant Support: Educate tenants on their rights and responsibilities, promoting positive tenancy outcomes.
- Property Inspections: Conduct routine, exit, and entry property inspections as required, completing necessary reports.
- Court Representation: Represent the organisation's interests in court or tribunal hearings when necessary.
- Tenant Feedback: Respond constructively and promptly to tenant feedback, informal complaints, and appeals.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Additional Support: Contribute to developing strategies connecting tenants to additional support resources.
- Vulnerable Client Experience: Previous experience working with vulnerable client groups is essential.
- Community Housing or Property Management: Community housing or property management experience is desirable.
- Laws and Regulations: Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act and NCAT process would be an advantage.
- Microsoft Office Skills: Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting is required.
- Prioritisation and Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Driving Licence: A driving licence is required for this role.
