Housing Officer Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housing Officer to provide tenancy and property management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Court Representation: Represent the organisation's interests in court or tribunal hearings when necessary.
  • Tenant Feedback: Respond constructively and promptly to tenant feedback, informal complaints, and appeals.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Additional Support: Contribute to developing strategies connecting tenants to additional support resources.
Requirements for Success
  • Vulnerable Client Experience: Previous experience working with vulnerable client groups is essential.
  • Community Housing or Property Management: Community housing or property management experience is desirable.
  • Laws and Regulations: Knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act and NCAT process would be an advantage.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Strong experience with Microsoft Office products for reporting is required.
  • Prioritisation and Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Driving Licence: A driving licence is required for this role.
