About this role

We are seeking individuals who want to make a positive impact on people's lives by providing support and care in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) or SDA environment.

As a support worker, you will be responsible for helping participants achieve their goals and improve their independence. You will work closely with the team to create personalized plans that cater to each individual's needs.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and family-friendly environment where your skills and commitment are valued and recognized.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A Certificate III in Disability, or Individual Support, or equivalent qualification
  • 6 months of experience working in the disability sector
  • Manual handling skills, First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration training
  • NDIS workers Screening Checks and a current Driver's License

You will also have the chance to develop your skills through online and on-job training, enjoy flexible work hours, and access Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).

About our requirements

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing general household assistance, emotional support, care, and companionship for aged or disabled people
  • Assisting clients with their mobility
  • Preparing food for clients
  • Arranging social activities
  • Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
  • Making shopping trips and running errands
  • Providing personal care to persons with disabilities

Please note that flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training/meetings as required are essential.
