Disability Support Worker Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will provide support to individuals with disabilities in-home and community settings. This includes assisting with daily living activities, implementing Behaviour Support Plans, Care Plans, and Therapy Plans, administering medication as required, and maintaining high standards of support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to people with disabilities in their homes and communities.
  • Assist with developing and implementing plans to meet the needs of clients with complex behavioral or medical needs.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
  • Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Disability Services.
  • Current Police Check (no older than 6 months).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Driver's License with Full Comprehensive Insurance.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Experience working with participants with Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Hoisting Experience and Manual Handling training.
