The RoleYou will play a key part in shaping our compliance strategy by providing expert guidance and leadership on regulatory and internal compliance matters. As a reliable partner to business units managing energy markets operations, you will ensure compliance requirements are well understood and integrated into everyday operations.
- Analyse complex regulatory frameworks and assign compliance responsibilities.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to create and implement risk-based controls.
- Track compliance performance, investigate potential violations, manage interactions with regulators, and ensure accurate and timely reports.
By identifying compliance risks and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability, you will help establish us as a responsible and transparent organisation.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in business, engineering, law, regulation or relevant field.
- A strong understanding of energy market regulations, particularly gas markets and wholesale electricity markets.
- Proven experience in compliance frameworks, including developing, implementing and maintaining compliance programs.
- Experience interpreting and applying legislation, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Regulatory engagement experience, liaising with authorities, managing audits or inquiries, and preparing submissions or responses.
