Aviation Safety Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Safety Assurance Officer to join our team within the Defence Aviation Safety Authority. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and reporting on continuing airworthiness oversight and enforcement activities. This will involve reviewing complex technical issues and executing appropriate technical delegations.
About the TeamYou will be working as part of a small team within the DCA Continuing Airworthiness Assurance section, responsible for managing allocated approved organisations and aviation platforms in their continued compliance to the DASRs. This will involve reviewing complex technical documentation, providing regulation advice to the aviation safety community, and promoting education of the DASRs as required.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver complex continuing airworthiness tasks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to anticipate and respond to their needs
- Conduct routine oversight and enforcement of organisations
- Travel for onsite visits to organisations
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong leadership, time management, and communication skills. You will also need to have a record of accomplishment of effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders and a strong understanding of aviation design and maintenance.
