This position involves providing strategic advice to the Pacific Aviation Sector, with a focus on supporting the Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation program.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement policies and regulations that drive aviation sector growth.
- Conduct safety audits and compliance reviews to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Analyze demand trends, optimize routes, forecast future needs, and provide expert strategic advice.
- Offer expertise in airport planning, management, and operations to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Support airline operations and management by leveraging industry knowledge and best practices.
- Provide specialized civil aviation regulatory expertise, particularly in the Pacific aviation sector.
- Develop and implement tourism management and policy development strategies to drive economic growth.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 10 years significant working experience in one or more areas of expertise.
- Experience working in Pacific Island countries or similar operating environments, with knowledge of their aviation sectors.
