The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in the Pacific aviation sector, with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges facing the industry.
They will be able to demonstrate their technical expertise in areas such as aviation policy development, safety management, airport operations, and airline management.
A high level of communication and interpersonal skills is also essential, as the role requires collaboration with government agencies, regulatory bodies, airport authorities, airlines, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advisory services to support the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable air transport systems in the Pacific island region;
Work collaboratively with government agencies, regulatory bodies, airport authorities, airlines, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions;
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of air transport systems in the region;
Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making and recommend improvements;
Prepare reports, briefings, and other materials to support the development of air transport systems in the region;
Collaborate with other experts to share knowledge and best practices and promote the growth and development of air transport in the Pacific island region.
Requirements:
Extensive experience working in the Pacific aviation sector;
Strong understanding of the complexities and challenges facing the industry;
Technical expertise in areas such as aviation policy development, safety management, airport operations, and airline management;
High level of communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies, regulatory bodies, airport authorities, airlines, and other stakeholders.
