Job Overview

The Director of Risk and Control Advisory will lead the development and implementation of operational risk management frameworks, ensuring effective assessment and mitigation of risks across Institutional Banking Coverage (IBC).

This role involves partnering with business stakeholders to integrate non-financial risk management and conduct processes, including advising on risk assessments, reviewing control environments, and resolving issues.

As a key member of the IBC team, you will leverage your expertise in end-to-end institutional banking environments to advise and assist the business on effective application of Operational Risk Management Frameworks (ORMFs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational risk management frameworks that align with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of risk and control matrices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the risk and control environment, identifying and mitigating emerging risks, and coordinating risk and governance forums.
Requirements
  • Experience in non-financial risk, conduct, or compliance roles within institutional banking or financial markets.
  • Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, control design, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and strong critical thinking.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence senior stakeholders.
