Senior Risk and Control Professional

Job Summary:

This is a pivotal role in shaping the risk culture to achieve fair outcomes for clients, protect market integrity, meet regulatory requirements, and safeguard our people.

The Director of Risk and Control Advisory will lead a team to drive continuous improvement of the business control environment, thorough investigation of incidents, and resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities include ensuring effective assessment of risks, controls, and regulatory obligations across the business profile in alignment with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

Additionally, this role involves anticipating and responding to emerging risks, conducting thematic reviews, and shaping proactive risk mitigation processes and controls.

Furthermore, the Director will coordinate and attend risk and governance forums, deliver risk reporting, and metrics to drive accountability and improvements across the business.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Non-Financial Risk, Conduct, or Compliance roles within Institutional Banking or Financial Markets.
  • Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks, control design, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, strong critical thinking, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
