Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all operational and capital expenditure performance is effectively managed, meeting financial targets while maintaining a high level of safety and customer service.
  • Control and monitor budget expenses against forecast for properties.
  • In consultation with senior management, review proposed alterations to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Prepare scope of works and relevant documentation.
  • Approve Work Orders, tax invoices, and contracts within delegated authority.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset register and preventative maintenance planner.
  • Monitor and ensure all relevant statutory logs and registers are in order.
  • Participate in Operational Health check Proforma with Divisional Manager and Facility Manager.
  • Complete FCR compliance reporting within required timeframes.
  • Respond to information and tenant requests as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years' experience in facilities management, typically from an administrative or technical background.
  • Technical competency with trade or tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and enforcing contracts.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA, and other risk management issues.
  • Ability to work on-call, weekends, and after-hours as required.
  • Experience preparing detailed asset plans, budgets, and capital expenditure recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good decision-making, influencing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A customer-centric focus with a strong understanding of local communities.
  • Project management and risk management expertise.
  • Strong time and resource management skills.
