Job Opportunity:

A leading transport hub in Australia is seeking a skilled and experienced Approvals Manager to support the Master Airport Planning Team in this newly created role. The successful candidate will showcase their administrative and stakeholder management skills while working on significant expansion projects, including the construction of a third runway.

The Approvals Manager will lead the project management and technical delivery of approvals for major developments at the airport, as defined in the Airports Act 1996. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project managing the delivery of Environmental Impact Evaluations, Major Development Plans, and all other related approvals
  • Managing specialist contractors engaged for specific inputs to the development process
  • Effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders for input and sign off on documentation
  • Developing and managing project timelines, budgets, and expenditures
  • Representing planning specialists for community engagement

The ideal candidate will have high-level report writing skills, experience in planning and/or environmental approvals, stakeholder management experience, project management experience, and an understanding of the Airports Act and the aviation sector in Australia.
