Data Analyst Role in Defence Aviation Safety Environment

We are seeking a skilled data analytics expert to join our team and contribute to the safety of Defence aviation operations. The successful candidate will have expertise in leading analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data.

This role requires working closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions. The data analyst will provide guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms, creating reports, dashboards, and database structures that support operational insight.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with data modelling, analysis, and structured reporting. They will be a confident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders and have experience with tools like PowerBI, SQL Server, or similar.

Security clearance (NV1 minimum) or eligibility to obtain is essential for this role. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting our mission to protect and improve the safety of Defence aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading analysis and modelling of aviation risk and safety data
  • Working closely with Defence stakeholders to interpret requirements and shape solutions
  • Providing guidance on data governance and integration across ICT platforms
  • Creating reports, dashboards, and database structures that support operational insight
Requirements:
  • Skilled data analyst with expertise in data modelling, analysis, and reporting
  • Confident communicator with experience engaging with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with secure or Defence environments, or willingness to learn
  • Experience with tools like PowerBI, SQL Server, or similar
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
