This specialist analytics capability aims to deliver high-quality data products that meet the needs of stakeholders.

About the Role

You will be part of an innovative team working on evidence-based decision-making and providing valuable insights into emerging risks and trends.

Your key responsibilities include developing techniques or analytic applications using data-oriented programming languages and visualisation software.

This position requires you to support existing products, deliver one-off insights, and conduct exploratory/investigatory analysis. You will identify synergies and risks and opportunities for the deployment of analytic applications across Comcare.

Key Deliverables:

  • Mandatory Qualifications:
    • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. data science, statistics or actuarial) or demonstrated equivalent experience.
    • Experience and knowledge in using R and/or Python for developing data science solutions.
    • Experience in using SQL to extract, transform and analyse data from databases.
  • Experience using Databricks for undertaking exploratory analysis and machine learning model development.
Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this role, you must possess:

  • Character clearance.
  • Employee Health Declaration.
  • Six months probationary period.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of data science principles, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
